Spiral Brushes and Coil Brushes
Coil brushes are made by winding straight metal-backed channel strips on a mandrel, core or shaft to form rotary cylinder brushes. By varying the pitch between each coil, a wide rage of brush densities is possible. From very dense close-wound coil brushes, to progressively less dense more open wound coil brushes, depending on pitch. This type brush can be supplied as a complete assembly pre-mounted on a core with journals, wound directly on to a shaft, wound on a customer’s core or shaft, or as replacement coils for in-house installation. Typical applications include conveyor cleaning, panel dusting, glass washing, screen cleaning, material handling (as screws and augers), lint removal and fruit and vegetable washing. Singapore Industrial Brush is capable of designing and manufacturing any cylinder brush to meet our customers’application.
External Cylindrical Coil Brushes
Cylindrical coil brushes might be seen on vacuum cleaners, street sweepers or an industrial compound applicator. A cylindical coil brush is a long strip brush wound in a helical fashion to create a cylinder. These can be any diameter and length, depending on the job they need to perform. Further, some of these cylindrical coil brushes can be closely wound so that they appear as solid cylinders. Others may have spaces between winds depending on the task at hand. Whatever your need, we can make the cylindrical coil brush to do the work.
Internal Cylindrical Coil Brushes
An internal cylinder brush with lead can be coiled free or onto a shaft. Brushes can have left or right hand lead. Minimum i.d. is typically 1.5 times the strip size. The brushes can be mounted permanently to shaft with the use of clips, J-bolts or welded. Applications for internal cylindrical brushes and shaft cleaning brushes are from dusting to polishing to de-burring to cleaning, have been used as an auger to move product in a given direction.
Double Band Coil Brushes
Our Double Band Coil Brushes are manufactured with two steel bands- one outer notched band, and one inner flat band, these are locked together and roll formed into a channel for winding around a core. These double band brushes are manufactured with all types of brush fill materials, synthetic, wire and abrasives to ensure excellent mechanical locking characteristics.
